Izotope Ozone 5 Windows
Izotope Ozone 5 on Windows 8.1? Audition game. I've been considering moving from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 for Sonar. X3c runs fine on 8.1, on the testing I've done so far, as does.
You can download iZotope Ozone 7.0.0.1299 from our software library for free. The most popular versions of the program are 6.0, 5.0 and 4.0.

Well, my fears of problems installing in a second system fortunately were unfounded. I was able to install Ozone 5 on Win 8.1 and 'register' it in Win 8.1 and it did not affect my Win 7 production system. I haven't done anything other than open an existing project but all the other plug ins and Ozone 5 appear to be working OK. I get the same number of plugins when Sonar scans in both Win 7 and Win 8.1.
I'll test further before fully migrating to Windows 8.1, I just stopped for a break and will get back to fixing some instrument parts on one song and then the final mixdown. Thanks for the conclusion of the story, when you think about it, don't you think that support rep from isotope should have been a bit more helpful?
I had an authorization issue with isotope and got about the same results, except the rep I had was the polite public relation expert type. He assured me that the development team was aware of an authorization issue with ilock and win 7, but had no fix at the time., I had it authorized on my XP install but wouldn't recognize the ilock on my Win 7 64 bit install. I figured the fix was something simple, I needed to update to a more recent installer. I should have figured that out myself at first but IMO, he should have as well. In case they were thinking of sending me one of those how did we do surveys, I wrote back commending him on his people skills but suggested he work on his product knowledge and problem solving skills. IZotope are in Boston, just down the road from Cakewalk.
In fact there's an old Cakewalk programmer working there. As for their service, customer support, it's been excellent. On one occasion I talked with them about missing a special sale.
I ended up with an even bigger discount because of the amount of iZotope software I have. I have Ozone 5 adv installed on my win7 laptop and on my studio win 8.1 machine using my iLok. Of course with one iLok I can't use it on more than one computer at any one time but I can install it on as many personally owned computers as I want. That's the beauty of iLok.
